The Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) are presenting WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION for the fourth time on June 20, 2022. The specially developed concert, which was jointly launched in 2017 and is once again dedicated to promoting young talent, will take place at the Raimund Theater for the first time this year.

Stars and “The Next Generation” at the Raimund Theater

In addition to the MUK graduates of this year's graduating class and students of the “Musical Entertainment Theater” course, the audience can look forward to star guests Caroline Athanasiadis, Boris Pfeifer and Verena Scheitz - all three are also MUK alumni. Together they will present a varied cross-section of the genre, providing insights into the world of musicals.

As before, the event will be hosted by the well-known director and MUK lecturer Werner Sobotka. A 7-piece live band will perform under the musical direction of Peter Uwira, himself a university professor on the Musical Entertainment Theater course. Advance ticket sales are now open.

WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION gives young artists the opportunity to perform on a big stage for the first time and introduce themselves to a wide audience. On this evening, they stand side by side in the spotlight with well-known guests who are already established in the industry. True to the motto: tomorrow's stars meet today's stars. The event, which was specially developed by VBW and MUK and is dedicated to the performers of tomorrow, has already met with great acclaim at the Ronacher in previous years.
