Dutch Divas - The Concert 2024

Three fascinating voices - three Dutch women - three extraordinary personalities - a gala concert of superlatives!

They are known from the most famous musicals of the last decades and now they were performing together on one stage for the very first time:  Ana Milva Gomes, Annemieke Van Dam and Wietske Van Tongeren.

They were supported on stage by none other than musical superstars Mark Seibert and Drew Sarich. They were accompanied by a 6-piece live band under the musical direction of Herbert Pichler.

On July 14, VBW and Österreichische Autistenhilfe were offering a "relaxed performance" of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. This is an adapted performance for people with disabilities, people with learning difficulties or neurodiversity (e.g. autism, ADHD), but it can be attended by anyone and everyone.

Due to its great popularity, the VBW's successful production of ELISABETH took place for the fourth and unfortunately last time as a major concert highlight in the courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace. From June 27 to 29, 2024, the most successful German-language musical of all time presented one last time as an exceptional concert experience in front of the famous historical setting of the Schönbrunn Palace.

Due to the enormous audience success and a total of over 30,000 tickets sold, the VBW’s internationally successful production ELISABETH, penned by the successful duo of Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay, performed also from the 29th of June to the 1st of July 2023 as an exceptional concert experience in the grand forecourt of Schönbrunn Palace.

The famous historical setting provides a unique and dignified backdrop for the concert version of the musical, which tells the dramatic and moving story of the life, loves and tribulations of Empress Elisabeth of Austria.

The Diaries of John Rabe

“The Diary of John Rabe” is a touching piece of contemporary Chinese history. The work stands for universal humanism and is an expression of deep gratitude for the rescue of hundreds of thousands of Chinese civilians during the Sino-Japanese War of 1937-38 by a small group of international residents of Nanking, led by German businessman John Rabe.
