    Stephen Martin Allan studied at Canada's National Ballet School from 2016 to 2018, earning a special scholarship despite having only one year of ballet training prior to that. He graduated with the Special Staff Ballet Award and the Musician Award. His further studies took him to the Guildford School of Acting. His first professional engagement followed in late 2018, and while still a student he choreographed his first work, TIMELESS, working with professional dancers from the Dutch National Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, and Canada's National Ballet School. At the time, he was the youngest choreographer working in London's renowned dance studios. With CATS, Stephen Martin Allan makes his musical debut and is one of the youngest performers ever to take on the role of Mr. Mistoffelees.

  • Alexander Auler

    Alexander Auler was born in Gütersloh/Germany. He received trumpet lessons at a young age and played in big bands and symphony orchestras. He gained his first stage experience in various productions of the English Drama Group at his high school. During his studies, he sang at various galas and was a finalist at the German National Singing Competition in 2017. He also appeared as Tybalt and Romeo in LIEBER TOD/T as well as Stefan Berger in WELCOME TO HELL at the Neuköllner Oper, embodied the role of Nathanael in the workshop for the new play DER SANDMANN - EIN HORRORMUSICAL, and regularly appeared on stage as a chorister in Disney's DER GLÖCKNER VON NOTRE DAME at the Stage Apollo Theater in Stuttgart. Before graduating from the University of the Arts in Berlin in summer 2019, he was seen as Artie Green in SUNSET BOULEVARD at Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen.

  • Anastasia Bertinshaw

    Anastasia Bertinshaw trained at the Ballet Academy of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. Prior to that, she trained at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in her native Australia, where she was part of the Sydney City Youth Ballet. Anastasia Bertinshaw was engaged in the ballet company of the Salzburg Landestheater from 2013 to 2016. She danced as a soloist in SCHWANENSEE, DER NUSSKNACKER, DER KÖNIG VON NARNIA, in the operetta IM WEISSEN RÖSSL, as well as in the musicals THE SOUND OF MUSIC and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, among others. In the 2016/17 season, she made her acting debut at the Salzburg Landestheater in DIE ILIAS in the role of Athena and was Dance Captain in SPAMALOT. In CATS she was already seen in 2018 at the Thunerseespielen as Jemima. After her engagement in EIN AMERIKANER IN PARIS at Musiktheater Linz, Anastasia Bertinshaw can now be experienced for the first time at Vereinigte Bühnen Wien.

    Anneke Brunekreeft comes from Basel, Switzerland. At the age of 14 she began her ballet training at the Basel Dance Academy. At the Scala Theater she participated as a dancer in the musical RENT, one year later at the Theater Basel in FAME. In 2014, Anneke Brunekreeft began studying musicals at Folkwang University of the Arts, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2018. Already during her studies she gained professional experience, among others in HELLO AGAIN at the Theater im Rathaus in Essen and in SUNSET BOULEVARD at the Dortmund Opera House and the Bonn Opera. In the tryout version of the new musical GOETHE! AUF LIEBE UND TOD she played Margarethe. Most recently, she appeared in the productions TWO HOPEFULLY DISTURBED SURKENS at Theater Heilbronn and in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at Staatstheater Nürnberg.

    Petra Ilse Dam comes from Drachten in the Netherlands. In her youth she first discovered her love for gymnastics and acrobatics, later for dance and singing. In 2011 she began her studies at the Lucia Marthas Dance Academy. Four years of intensive training were followed by training in acting and singing at the Lucia Marthas Institute For Performing Arts. Meanwhile she danced in productions of RTL Wentink Events, Holland Show Ballet or Studio 21. In 2014/2015 she played the role of Kaa in the musical THE JUNGLE BOOK by OpusOne. In 2016/2017 Petra Ilse Dam was on stage as Cover Jane and in the ensemble of Disney's TARZAN in Oberhausen and Stuttgart, followed by an engagement in the ensemble and as Cover Penny in DIRTY DANCING. In 2018 she was in the ensemble, as Angel and as Dance Captain in ROCK OF AGES at the Musical Sommer Amstetten, most recently she was on stage as Penny in DIRTY DANCING.

    Ana Milva Gomes is Dutch with Cape Verdean roots and studied in Amsterdam. She moved to the German-speaking world for Nehebka and later the title role in AIDA. Engagements in LION KING and Disney's TARZAN followed, and she also appeared as a soloist in BEST OF MUSICAL. At the VBW, she has appeared on stage as Deloris van Cartier in SISTER ACT, Maria Magdalena in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and Paulette Buonufonté in NATÜRLICH BLOND. In MAMMA MIA! she embodied the world's first dark-skinned Donna and was nominated for the Austrian Music Theatre Award for the role of Baroness von Waldstätten in MOZART! Further engagements included Betty Jean in WINTER WONDERETTES/ Kammerspiele, Oda Mae Brown in GHOST - DAS MUSICAL/Linz, Inez in ZORRO and the title role in CARMEN/ Winzendorf, Shug Avery in DIE FARBE LILA/Amsterdam and Justice Charlier in ROCK OF AGES/Amstetten.     The native of Lower Austria completed her training at the Performing Arts Studios Vienna. In 2011 she toured Europe with CATS and made her musical debut as Swing, Jellylorum/Griddlebone and Jenny Fleckenreich. This was followed by REBECCA (cover "Ich") and MAMMA MIA! (Ali and Sophie) in Stuttgart. In SHREK - DAS MUSICAL Denise was Assistant Dance Captain, Swing and cover Fiona, in Disney's TARZAN she impersonated Jane among others. In Berlin, she appeared in SISTER ACT as Mary Robert, among others, and in Stuttgart in 2018 she was convincing in the title role of MARY POPPINS. In Hamburg, she appeared on stage in KINKY BOOTS as Nicola, among others. In 2019, her path led her to her homeland, where, after the concert performance of ELISABETH at Schönbrunn, she also appeared in CATS as Swing, Jellylorum/Griddlebone, Jenny Fleckenreich and Grizabella.

    Nicholas Li graduated from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in Sydney, Australia before continuing his training at Tanya Pearson's Classical Coaching Academy, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and the National Institute for Circus Acts. He has appeared on stage in ALADDIN at The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, THE KING AND I at the London Palladium, for English National Opera in CHESS at the London Coliseum, in Disney's THE LION KING on tour in Australia, and for CINDERELLA with Sydney City Youth Ballet. As a dancer and air acrobat, he traveled the world aboard the cruise ship Celebrity Equinox and was a professional circus performer with Wild Spirit Productions. With Aerial Dance, Nicholas Li performed at White Party Bangkok, as well as the Montreal and Australian Circus Festivals. In 2017, he won the aerial championship of professionals in the UK. With CATS he now makes his Austrian debut at the Ronacher.

    Matthew Levick is a graduate of the prestigious Brent Street Studios in Sydney, Australia, where he studied dance and musical theater. After graduation, he was hired by Royal Caribbean Cruises and performed the roles of Tumblebrutus, Mr. Mistoffelees and Coricopat in CATS. In COME FLY WITH ME, he served as a production dancer. He has also danced with the NSW State Dance Company, for "Top 10 Dancer Of The Year Australia", at an opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games, the Sydney Chinese New Year Festival and at DANCE OF CHAMPIONS AUSTRALIA. With CATS, Matthew Levick makes his Vienna debut.

    Born in Vienna, she received her training at the Performing Academy in Vienna. Her engagements have taken Katharina Lochmann to renowned theaters in German and French-speaking countries, where she has performed in various roles, as swing, dance captain or choreographic assistant in CAMELOT, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, FAME, MY FAIR LADY, WEST SIDE STORY, EIN SOMMERNACHTSTRAUM, ANYTHING GOES, DRACULA, LUMPAZIVAGABUNDUS, ON THE TOWN, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and CABARET, among others. Operettas such as WIENER BLUT, IM WEISSEN RÖSSL and DIE CSÁRDÁSFÜRSTIN are also part of her repertoire. She took over the female part in FRED ASTAIRE - EIN LEBEN FÜR DEN TANZ and in I DO! I DO! and was most recently seen at the Kiel Opera as the Beggar Woman in SWEENEY TODD, at the Theater St. Gallen as Ernestina Money in HELLO DOLLY and at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich as Marion in PRISCILLA - KÖNIGIN DER WÜSTE. She already embodied the Gumbie cat Jenny Fleckenreich for Stage Entertainment in Paris.

    Nathan Luke graduated from Urdang Academy in London in 2018. He most recently appeared on stage as Eugene and Cover Doody in the musical GREASE for Royal Caribbean. Prior to that, he was Dance Captain in SWEET CHARITY, played Robbie in THE WEDDING SINGER and was in the ensemble of OLIVER!, as Chip in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Mendel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and Jerome in SOUTH PACIFIC, among others. With CATS he makes his debut in Austria.

    Tommie Luyben was born in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and began his artistic training here in childhood at the Fontys Dance Academy. He then went to the Rotterdam Dance Academy and attended the Amsterdam School of the Arts. Abroad, Tommie Luyben studied at Purchase College in New York and at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. His first successes were in the Netherlands, where he appeared in HET BETERE WERK, LE TEMPS DE ISOMO and CATS. He also played there in DOE MAAR!, FAME, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, WE WILL ROCK YOU and WICKED. In Germany, he appeared in WICKED, CATS, WEST SIDE STORY, GREASE and MAMMA MIA! In addition, he was in front of the camera for the television series "Annie M.G.", "'t Spaanse Schaep" and "Moeder, ik wil bij de Revue". He also works as a theater producer and realized numerous own projects. In addition, he writes for various magazines and websites.

  • George Maniadis

    George Maniadis was born in Thessaloniki. He attended the Aspa Foutsi Dance
    School as well as the Diagonal Dance School and completed the "International Baccalaureate's Higher Level Dance Course". Intensive training programs in classical ballet, modern dance and jazz dance at the Orlando Ballet School and the Ailey School in the USA followed before he graduated with honors in dance from the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University.
    During his training he worked with well-known choreographers such as Gregory Dobashian, James Martin, Sean Curran, Cherylyn Lavagnino and Vita Osojnik. He
    was responsible for the choreography of the film "Owls" (directed by Natalia Bougadellis), which was presented at the 2016 Cannes Short Film Festival. In 2016 - 2018, George Maniadis also performed on stage for the international touring production of WEST SIDE STORY, directed by Joey McKneely and originally choreographed by Jerome Robbins. Furthermore, he played Dracula in the UNIVERSAL MONSTERS ROCK AND ROLL SHOW in Japan.

    Felix Martin received his training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. Most recently, he played the Archdeacon Claude Frollo in Disney's THE LADY OF NOTRE DAME in Berlin, Munich and Stuttgart. Awarded the Berlin theater prize "Daphne" and the musical prize "Image", he celebrated in 2018 at Berlin's Wintergarten his 30th stage anniversary. Peter Weck brought him to Vienna for LES MISÉRABLES as Marius as well as for the world premiere of FREUDIANA. He played Death in ELISABETH in Berlin, Vienna and Zurich, Count von Krolock in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES in Hamburg and Perón in EVITA in Vienna. In NEXT TO NORMAL he was seen as Dan in Vienna and at the Staatsoperette Dresden. He played Danny in GREASE, Frank N. Furter in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, Zaza in EIN KÄFIG VOLLER NARREN and the title role in ELVIS. On television, he could be seen in "Ich heirate eine Familie" (I'm marrying a family), among others. For 3sat he moderated the gala "Hommage to Harald Juhnke". He makes guest appearances with various solo programs and has released four solo CDs.

    Susannah Murphy was born in Birmingham, England, and began her training in classical ballet and singing at the age of three. She was a member of the City of Birmingham Youth Chorus as well as the Ex Cathedra Youth Choir for many years and was deeply involved in the BBC Proms Youth Choir projects for three years. At the age of 18, she began her professional training and studied for three years at the Kate Simmons Dance School in Warrington, England, specializing in ballet, contemporary dance and jazz dance, as well as singing and classical Spanish dance. Her recent engagements include one of the Dirns and Rosalinde in the ballet ROMEO AND JULIA and the role of the Duck in the ballet PETER AND THE WOLF. Susannah Murphy was awarded first prize in a choreography competition by choreographer David Needham for her own work and as "Best Allround Dancer".

    Barbara Obermeier grew up near Munich. After her training at the Abraxas Musical Academy in Munich, she received her first ngagement as Sophie and Sisi in LUDWIG2 in Füssen. This was followed, among others, by LES MISÉRABLES and JEKYLL & HYDE at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and Valentine de Villefort in the world premiere of DER GRAF VON MONTE CHRISTO at the Theater St. Gallen. Since 2008 she has appeared regularly on stage at the VBW as Sarah in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, Sister Mary Robert in SISTER ACT, Elle Woods in NATÜRLICH BLOND, Nannerl in MOZART!, Meg Giry in LOVE NEVER DIES and Mary Magdalena in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. At Musiktheater Linz she appeared in LES MISÉRABLES, SHOW BOAT, THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, COMPANY and THE WHO'S TOMMY, and at Musical Sommer Amstetten as Ariel Moore in FOOTLOOSE, Chrissy in HAIR, and as Sherry in ROCK OF AGES. In 2018, she appeared on stage as Mary Cullen in DER MEDICUS at the Deutsches Theater in Munich, and most recently as Lilli Vanessi in KISS ME, KATE at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. Since 2016, she has also embodied Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC at the Vienna Volksoper.

    Johnny Randall is from London, England. He trained at the Royal Ballet School from 2011 to 2019 and has just graduated. Music and dance have been his passion since he started training at the age of 9. He has already appeared on stage at the Royal Opera House with the Royal Ballet Company in THE NUTNACKER, choreographed by Sir Peter Wright, and worked with choreographers such as Liam Scarlett, for example in his new ballet creations THIRD MOVEMENT and THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN. Johnny Randall toured Madrid with Scarlett's production of SCHWANENSEE.

    Vicky Riddoch was born in Scotland and trained in dance and musical theater at the London Studio Centre. In Austria she has already been on stage in the ensemble of EIN AMERIKANER IN PARIS at the Landestheater Linz and in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER at the Musicalsommer Amstetten, was Dance Captain, Cover Val Clark and ConnieWong in A CHORUS LINE at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt as well as in the RONACHER as Swing and Cover Miss Lark in MARY POPPINS. Her career has also taken her all over Europe, where she has performed in shows such as GHOST - DAS MUSICAL and TANZ DER VAMPIRE in Berlin, FLASHDANCE in St. Gallen, MAMMA MIA! and MARY POPPINS in Stuttgart, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS in Glasgow and WICKED in The Hague. She now returns to the RONACHER with CATS.

    Karin Seyfried studied ballet at the Vienna State Opera and earned her musical diploma at the Tanz-Gesang-Studio Theater an der Wien. Parallel to her studies she performed in DAS PHANTOM DER OPER, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES and later in ELISABETH (UA). In Germany she appeared in SUNSET BOULEVARD, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, 42ND STREET and in ELISABETH (title role) as well as in JEKYLL & HYDE, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, MOZART! and as Isabelle in MOULIN ROUGE STORY - DAS MUSICAL (UA). In Bielefeld she performed in SCARLET PIMPERNEL, CHESS, COMPANY and WIE IM HIMMEL. For her role in MIAMI NIGHTS she was awarded Best Leading Actress in a Pop/Rock Musical. At Bühne Baden she was seen as Mary Magdalena in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and at the Kammerspiele der Josefstadt as Paula in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. She toured Austria and Germany with ICH WAR NOCH NIEMALS IN NEW YORK. At the VBW she recently thrilled audiences in I AM FROM AUSTRIA. In 2020 she can also be seen as Giulietta in ASPECTS OF LOVE at the Theater Arche and as Sharon in ROCK MY SOUL at the Wiener Metropol.

    Riccardo Sinisi was born in Como, Italy. He started his training at the Scuola di ballo del Teatro Sociale di Como, graduated from the musical academy SDM La scuola del Musical in Milan and graduated in Music Theatre at the London College of Music. He also studied singing with Tiziana Salvador, Matthew Shaw and Cheris Deverill and dance at Pineapple Dance Studios in London. He made his debut as Adam/Felicia in PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT on tour in Italy. Other roles followed such as Paul in A CHORUS LINE, Ren McCormack in FOOTLOOSE, Quattrocchi (Specs) in NEWSIES at the Teatro Nazionale in Milan and Link Larkin in HAIRSPRAY, Kenickie in GREASE, Jason in BARE, Rolf Gruber in THE SOUND OF MUSIC each on tour in Italy. In the ensemble and as solo dancer Riccardo Sinisi was seen in AN AMERICAN IN PARIS at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, as Simon and Peter in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR on tour in Italy, at the Teatro Sistina in Rome as well as the Arena di Verona and as Riff in WEST SIDE STORY at the Teatro Nuovo in Milan.

    Belgian-born Rory Six studied at the Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg. In Belgium and Holland he appeared on stage as Paris and Brother Lorenzo in ROMEO AND JULIA, and in LES MISÉRABLES he was in the ensemble as Cover Marius in Berlin and in St. Gallen. In Stuttgart he embodied Archduke Rudolf in ELISABETH, at the Musical Festival Graz Jack Seward in DRACULA, at the Bad Hersfeld Festival John Utterson in JEKYLL & HYDE. Since 2008 Rory Six lives in Vienna and has been on stage at the Raimund Theater as Cover Crown Prince Rudolf in RUDOLF - AFFAIRE MAYERLING, as Cover Death in ELISABETH and in MESSIAH ROCKS, as well as at the Musical Sommer Amstetten as Malcolm MacGregor in THE FULL MONTY. He is the director of the Vienna off-stage Theatercouch, where he portrayed Adam in THE DIARY OF ADAM AND EVA, Conchita Tofu in MORD AUF SENDUNG, Rudy in WEIHNACHTSENGEL KÜSST MAN NICHT and David in SARG NIEMALS NIE. He wrote the musicals WENN ROSENBLÄTTER FALLEN, LUNA, EIN WENIG FARBE, DIE MÄDCHEN VON OOSTENDE and WEIHNACHTSENGEL KÜSST MAN NICHT, which were successfully performed at the Theatercouch in Vienna.

    Alex Snova began his training at the National Institute of the Arts in Havana, Cuba and continued at the Vedado Drama Academy in Havana. As a dancer and singer, he has toured with numerous shows, including LE GRAND BALLET DE CUBA - HAVANA TROPICAL in France and Russia, and TROPICANA DE CUBA in Spain. He was a soloist with the Santiago Alfonso Dance Company, one of the most prestigious show companies in Cuba and also appeared as a dancer in the film "Ester en alguna parte" by Cuban director Gerardo Chijona. In Spain he performed in the show OJALÁ before coming to Hamburg, where he has already performed on stage in Disney's ALADDIN and as Angel, Cover Simon Senior and Cover Referee in KINKY BOOTS, among others. For the latter show, he also served as Assistant Dance Captain. More recently he was seen in the role of Anna in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR as well as in I AM FROM AUSTRIA as Cover Pablo García and in the ensemble at the Raimund Theater.

    Hannah Kenna Thomas began her training in classical ballet at the age of 16 at the Royal Ballet Upper School in London. In 2012, she performed with Darcey Bussell at the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics in London. While still a student, she performed annually on stage at the Royal Opera House. Furthermore, Hannah Kenna Thomas was seen in CAROUSEL at the English National Opera and was in front of the camera for the Disney films "Beauty and the Beast" and "Mary Poppins' Return". In 2014, she previously appeared as Victoria in the European and UK tours of CATS, as well as in the West End revival of the play at the London Palladium in 2015. In 2018, she again took on the role of Victoria as part of the international tour of CATS.

    Giulia Vazzoler began her dance training at the age of five in her hometown of Rome, Italy. She received her professional training as a dancer at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome and in various workshops at the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in New York. At the age of 19 Giulia Vazzoler came to Germany and completed her professional training as a musical performer with a full scholarship at the Stage School Hamburg in 2012. She has performed on major stages throughout Europe in numerous, well-known musicals such as swing and cover Roxie Hart in CHICAGO in Paris and Stuttgart, Disney's ALADDIN in Hamburg, as well as WEST SIDE STORY at the Hanover State Opera and danced for Opera Umea in Sweden. With CATS Giulia Vazzoler now makes her debut in Austria.

At the Musical Summer Winzendorf, he was on stage in 2019 as Garcia in Frank Wildhorn's CARMEN. At the Opera Magdeburg he will embody Athos in 3 MUSKETIERE in the season 2019/20.     Michael Kunze comes from an Austrian family, was born in Prague and grew up in Germany. After studying law and earning his doctorate, he began working as a songwriter. When he was dissatisfied with the production of his songs, he produced them himself. He quickly became a successful songwriter and an internationally known pop producer. Over six hundred chart successes, including two number one hits in America, earned him 79 gold and platinum records, an Echo Lifetime Award and the US Grammy. Stars who owe him hits include Gilbert Bécaud, Peter Alexander, Nana Mouskouri, Gitte Haenning, Peter Maffay, Julio Iglesias and Sister Sledge. He also penned over 100 Udo Jürgens lyrics, including "Griechischer Wein" and "Ich war noch niemals in New York". In addition, he developed lasting TV formats and wrote, among other things, the "Peter Alexander Show" for ORF. In the 1980s, he moved from the recording studio to the theater. Initially, he worked on German adaptations of international musical successes such as EVITA, CATS, DAS PHANTOM DER OPER, Disney's DER GLÖCKNER VON NOTRE DAME, DER KÖNIG DER LÖWEN, MAMMA MIA! and WICKED. He has been developing original musicals since the 1990s. Already with his first work ELISABETH (music: Sylvester Levay), he advanced to become the internationally most performed German-language playwright. His subsequent works TANZ DER VAMPIRE (Jim Steinman), MOZART!, REBECCA, LADY BESS and MARIE ANTOINETTE (all set to music by Sylvester Levay) also became international successes. He is considered the creator of the DramaMusical, a new genre of musical theater. He was the only librettist from the German-speaking world to reach Broadway. His pop oratorios DIE ZEHN GEBOTE and LUTHER (music: Dieter Falk) filled large European halls. In 2017, his work DON CAMILLO & PEPPONE (music: Dario Farina) was shown at the Ronacher. His musical MATTERHORN (music: Albert Hammond), premiered in St. Gallen in 2018, deals with the highly topical subject of the threat to nature posed by man. His works have been and are being performed in Paris, Moscow, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo. In addition to musical librettos, he has written several non-fiction books, a play about Bertolt Brecht's wife (LENYA), political cabaret texts for the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft, and the book for the opera RAOUL (music: Gershon Kingsley). In addition, Michael Kunze is the author of scientific treatises and books of legal history. The Göttingen Academy of Sciences honored him for this in 2016 with the Brothers Grimm Medal. He is currently working on a non-fiction book on legal history entitled DAS UNSICHTBARE RECHT. Michael Kunze is a member of the US Dramatists Guild, Inc.

    After studying in Bremen, Hanover and New York, he worked as a music educator, chamber musician, concert pianist and conductor. This was followed by solo performances with various orchestras and as a partner in chamber music ensembles, as well as recitals with soloists from various state operas; also with a focus on modern music (including collaboration with Karlheinz Stockhausen). As a conductor and répétiteur, he has worked on over 50 different (premiere) performances and premieres in Vienna and abroad. He has also been a guest lecturer at several musical schools and universities. Since the 2000/2001 season, he has been a permanent conductor at the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, where he has been in charge of the rehearsals of numerous plays as well as the ongoing productions. In addition, he works as a pianist and consultant for many national and international auditions. Currently he is part of the music direction of the VBW. Most recently, he was Musical Director of WE ARE MUSICAL, the opening gala of the Raimund Theater and the concert performances of ELISABETH at Schönbrunn (2019 and 2022). As a supervisor, he oversees versions of ELISABETH, MOZART! and REBECCA in many countries for VBW, among others. In 2022/23, he will follow with the musical direction of Disney's THE HUNCHBACK at the Ronacher.

    Trevor Nunn was both the longest-serving and the youngest-ever artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). During his stint, he also headed the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, and the Aldwych and the Swan in London, as well as the RSC’s two smaller theatres, The Other Place and the Donmar Warehouse. He also oversaw the establishment of a new London home for the RSC at the Barbican. For the RSC, he directed most of Shakespeare’s plays, as well as modern dramas, and staged innovative new projects, including NICHOLAS NICKLEBY and the musical LES MISÉRABLES. Following a brief but intense career in film (“Lady Jane” and “Twelfth Night”) and television (including “Macbeth” with Ian McKellen und Judi Dench, “The Comedy of Errors”, “Anthony und Cleopatra”, “Three Sisters”, “Oklahoma!” with Hugh Jackman, and “King Lear” with Ian McKellen) he became artistic director of the National Theatre in London, where he directed numerous plays, including TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, LOVE’S LABOURS LOST, Gorky’s SUMMERFOLK, THE CHERRY ORCHARD with Vanessa Redgrave, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE with Glenn Close, and the classic musicals MY FAIR LADY und ANYTHING GOES. Trevor Nunn has had the great good fortune to direct several world premieres of plays by Tom Stoppard, with whom he has worked for many years: EVERY GOOD BOY DESERVES FAVOUR, ARCADIA, the trilogy THE COAST OF UTOPIA, and ROCK ‘N’ ROLL. The same applies of his work with Andrew Lloyd Webber. Trevor Nunn directed the world premieres of his musicals CATS, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, ASPECTS OF LOVE, SUNSET BOULEVARD and THE WOMAN IN WHITE. His most recent productions include RICHARD II und INHERIT THE WIND, with Kevin Spacey in the main role, the first stage version of Samuel Beckett’s ALL THAT FALL, and the Shakespeare trilogy THE WARS OF THE ROSES. In the summer of 2015, he completed his long-standing project of directing all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays. Trevor Nunn is currently one of the artistic directors of the Theatre Royal Haymarket, where productions he has directed include THE TEMPEST, starring Ralph Fiennes as Prospero. He has also directed numerous operas, including IDOMENEO, COSÌ FAN TUTTE, PETER GRIMES (Salzburg Easter Festival), KATYA KOBANOVA, SOPHIE’S CHOICE, with Angelika Kirchschlager (Covent Garden), and PORGY AND BESS, conducted by Simon Rattle. Trevor Nunn has previously worked with Stephen Schwartz on THE BAKER’S WIFE in London’s West End.

    David Cullen studied with Howard Ferguson and Richard Rodney Bennett at the Royal Academy of Music (London), and subsequently worked as a keyboarder, composer, music producer and arranger. He achieved international recognition with his orchestration of musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber, including CATS, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, SONG AND DANCE, ASPECTS OF LOVE, SUNSET BOULEVARD, BY JEEVES, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND, THE BEAUTIFUL GAME, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, THE WOMAN IN WHITE and LOVE NEVER DIES. Other musicals he has orchestrated include ABBACADABRA, CHILDREN OF EDEN, SHŌGUN – THE MUSICAL, STEPPING OUT – THE MUSICAL, EDNA – THE SPECTACLE and several London revivals, including CAN-CAN, THE BAKER’S WIFE, CARMEN JONES, PARADE and THE WIZARD OF OZ. He won a New York Drama Desk Award for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and was nominated for ASPECTS OF LOVE. In 1999, he was nominated for a Tony Award for SWAN LAKE. His studio recordings include the King’s Sisters’ “America album”, Kiri te Kanawa’s “Christmas with Kiri” and Shirley Bassey’s “I Am What I Am”. He has arranged and produced two albums for Cantabile and Julian Lloyd Webber. David Cullen also orchestrates films and television, including the TV shows “Relative Strangers”, “Surgical Spirit” and “The Bretts”, and film versions of “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Cats”, “Evita” und “The Phantom of the Opera”. He also orchestrated the Disney films “Geppetto” and “Cinderella”.

CATS - A legend returns

The Vereinigten Bühnen Wien will present the world-famous show in a new version of the original production at the Ronacher from the autumn with its première in September 2019.
